Matthew Keller or Mathew Keller〔"The spelling 'Matthew' has been adopted for this collection since most reference works use that form. His grandson John Mathew Keller entitles his biographical sketch 'Mathew Keller', so the family may have preferred the spelling with a single 't'. Keller himself used either the signature 'M. Keller' or the Spanish form 'Mateo'." — Inventory of the Matthew Keller papers〕 (1810–81) was an early agriculturalist, vintner and distiller in Los Angeles, California, shortly after it became part of the United States following the Mexican War. He was also on the county Board of Supervisors and on the Common Council, the city's governing body.

Keller was born in Queenstown, County Cork, Ireland, in 1810 and graduated from Trinity College, Dublin.〔("Inventory of the Matthew Keller Papers, 1851–1861," Huntington Museum, Online Archive of California )〕 He was married, and when he died in 1881 he was survived by three children, Caroline E. Shafer, Alice Shafer and Henry Workman Keller.〔(Online Archive of California )〕
As a mark of respect, Keller was known as Don Mateo (Spanish for "Matthew").〔
